Senator Manny Pacquiao and Senator Alan Peter Cayetano moves to end the hearing on extrajudicial killings started by Senator Leila De Lima last month.
Pacquiao believes that the hearing was useless because of the low and questionable credibility of some witnesses who testify in the Senate.
He also criticised Matobato for leaving the Senate without permission of other Senators.
“We call the witnesses tapos nilalayasan lang tayo. Sabi nga ni Sen. Ping ‘Naisahan tayo ng Grade 1.’ I believe there is no reason to continue this committee meeting tomorrow.” Manny Pacquiao told Chairperson Richard Gordon.
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano backs Pacquiao in his suggestion to end the investigation on extrajudicial killings.
But Gordon said that the hearings would be suspended until further notice to give Senators some time to clarify things.
The 13 hour Senate hearing ends when Senator Leila De Lima walked out in the Senate after Gordon accused her of material concealment.
