MANILA, Philippines – Mild earthquakes rocked parts of Luzon and Mindanao yesterday, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.
The epicenter of a magnitude 4.6 quake, which occurred at around 9:39 a.m., was located some 10 kilometers northwest of Abra de Ilog in Occidental Mindoro, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake was felt at Intensity 2 in Calatagan and Nasugbu in Batangas, Pasay City and Malate and Sampaloc, Manila.
A quake with a magnitude of 4.4 hit Agusan del Sur at 11:16 a.m. Its epicenter was located at 12 kms southeast of La Paz town.
The temblor was felt at Intensity 4, which according to Phivolcs was “moderately strong,” in Talacogon.
