ABS-CBN Might Reduce Agot Isidro Scenes at ‘Ang Probinsyano’ After Strong Demand From Social Media

It appears that the negative effect of Agot Isidro’s comment against President Rodrigo Rodrigo Duterte is far from over. This is after tons of netizens are saying that they will stop watching ABS-CBN’s ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ if they will still see Agot Isidro, who plays the role of a woman whose entire family is involved with illegal drugs trade.

As the entire Philippines probably knows, Agot Isidro slammed President Duterte on her Facebook post last Friday, October 7 on his strong comments against the EU (European Union) and the US. The ‘Ang Probinsyano’ star said that the president is a psychopath, and that she knows a psychiatrist. She suggested that he seek for medical treatment.

And although she earned support from people who agree with her including Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and fellow actress, Cherry Pie Picache, it seems that a huge part of supporters of President Duterte has a greater number. Since then, Agot Isidro received tons of criticicms via Facebook and Twitter, including those from ‘Ang Probinsyano’ fans.

Agot Isidro plays the role of Verna Syquia-Tuazon – wife of Tomas, mother of Joaquin; and daughter of Don Emilio. Tomas and Don Emilio are both high-profile drug lords, while Joaquin serve as their protector and ‘ears’ from the PNP. Agot knows the business of the family right from the start, but she cannot stop it and instead donate money to charity.

But while ‘Ang Probinsyano’ is a big hit for ABS-CBN and President Duterte recently said that he really did not mind Agot Isidro’s comment, and that she has the constitutional right to free expression, many Duterte supporters still cannot forgive her and wanted her off the teleserye. As of posting, and Agot have not yet commented on this strong demand.
