Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, the tandem of President Duterte during the Presidential Election responded to Senator Leila De Lima’s privilege speech about the War on Drugs of the current Duterte administration and her views about the extrajudicial killings.
Even Senator De Lima denied the request of Senator Cayetano to deliver his response to her privilage speech, the current Senate President Koko Pimentel allowed Cayetano to say what he wants about De Lima.
Senator Cayetano defended the current administration’s war on drugs, believing that drug lords can always escape and bribe the judges.
He also explained that President Duterte would punish all the abusive police who will use their power and the current war on drugs to kill their personal enemies and hide their involvement in illegal drug trade.
Senator Cayetano also mentions that De Lima is only one of the three people that he saw to decline to hear a response in their own privilege speech.
